Marketing & Communication has power, and I use it to create, connect, and advocate for what matters most.

Video Work
Spence-Chapin Mini Camps
Led the promotion of Spence-Chapin's Mini Camps, creating short-form video content that promoted Mini Camps, a full-day childcare opportunity for elementary-aged adoptees and their siblings during NYC public school closures.
Produced campaign assets across multiple formats—including emails, static social media posts, short-form videos, and Instagram Stories reminders—to ensure consistent messaging and full audience coverage throughout each promotional cycle.
Applied child privacy and ethical storytelling standards throughout the production process, ensuring all featured content aligned with organizational policies and family consent requirements while clearly communicating camp activities, dates, eligibility, and registration information.
UX Portfolio Spotlight
Developed a short-form video series to spotlight end-of-year portfolio projects from QTBIPOC Design’s community of queer, trans, Black, Indigenous, and POC UX designers.
Created as part of ongoing post-bootcamp support, offering an accessible way for employers and collaborators to explore designers’ work.
Built a reusable template on the program Descript to ensure consistency, scalability, and ease of production for continued use across social media platforms.
LIM College Fashion Show
Independently conceptualized, filmed, and edited a personal video project in collaboration with LIM College, a fashion business school, after connecting through QTBIPOC Design; spotlighting the school’s 79th annual student-led fashion show.
Focused the video on the show’s deeper impact by centering the voices of those often excluded from the fashion industry, framing fashion as a more inclusive and accessible space.
Highlighted the event’s evolution from previous years, capturing its expanded budget, high-profile venue, and professional production support.

About Me

Hi! I'm Julian
I want to use the same creativity that fuels my personal passions to give back to the communities I’m a part of. I believe connection is at the heart of strong communities, and I’m committed to doing whatever I can to help bridge the gap between the resources that exist and the people who need them most.
Why I Do This Work
I’ve been involved in advocacy since high school, where I served as president of my school’s Gay-Straight Alliance (GSA). That passion stayed with me as I pursued a degree in marketing in college. Through CUNY’s Spring Forward program, which connects students without prior internship experience to meaningful opportunities, I joined the NYC Commission on Human Rights. It was my first real introduction to using marketing and communications in service of a greater cause, and from that moment, I knew this was the path I wanted to pursue.I was invited back to the Commission for a second term and was later selected for the Colin Powell School’s Mixner LGBTQ+ Equal Rights Fellowship, where I deepened my skills as an advocate, built lasting connections in the field, and was honored with the Urvashi Vaid Award for my commitment to LGBTQ+ advocacy. That experience led me to QTBIPOC Design, where I strengthened my hands-on marketing and content strategy skills in an advocacy-driven setting.None of this would have been possible without the support of programs designed to uplift students like me. That support made all the difference, and now I want to give back in the same way I was provided for, by using my skills to help others access the opportunities they deserve.
